On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I extend best wishes to the people of Turkmenistan as you celebrate the 22nd anniversary of your nation’s independence on October 27.
The United States and the Government of Turkmenistan have worked together to forge a more peaceful and stable region. The United States will continue to work closely with the Government of Turkmenistan on common goals, from expanding bilateral trade and investment to promoting people-to-people exchanges.
On this special day, we share Turkmenistan’s pride in what has been achieved and look forward to deepening our cooperation in the years to come.
I offer the people of Turkmenistan our best wishes for a future of peace, progress, and prosperity.
