Press Statement
John Kerry
Secretary of State
Washington, DC
June 4, 2013
On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Denmark as you celebrate your Constitution Day this June 5.
The United States enjoys a deep and enduring partnership with Denmark. Today, we work together on a variety of global challenges, from combating climate change, promoting green energy, and sustainably developing the Arctic, to supporting peace and stability in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East and North Africa. We appreciate Denmark’s commitment to European and global security as a member of NATO and all that Denmark does to make the world a better place for all our peoples.
I extend my warmest regards to the Danish people on your Constitution Day and look forward to our continued cooperation and friendship long into the future.
