On behalf of the President and the people of the United States, I send best wishes to the Nicaraguan people on the 192nd anniversary of your nation’s independence on September 15. The United States shares the Nicaraguan people’s commitment to building a democratic, prosperous, and secure Nicaragua, and we look forward to continuing to work together with all Nicaraguans to achieve these important goals.
I wish the people of Nicaragua a festive and happy Independence Day celebration.
